Conny Broman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evert Morat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the game, Evert Morat cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Conny Broman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sven-Arne Haglunds short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got Yngve Stenström to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Stjärnhov's Linus Telin got a free kick in the 43rd minute. 45 minutes into the match, abdi FC's Sven-Arne Haglund sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yngve Stenström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Evert Morat made a kick off. Patric Torstensson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Yngve Stenström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Soares kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. abdi FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 56th minute, when Lars-Erik Täman scored to the left of an out of position Conny Broman, making the score, 2-3. Evert Morat hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sven-Arne Haglund in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yngve Stenström saved Stjärnhov from getting behind. In the 73rd minute of the match Jaroslav Šimíček shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Yngve Stenström showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 74 minutes, Sven-Arne Haglund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. abdi FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sven-Arne Haglund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Bengt-Åke Ahlén had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 83 minutes of play, Stjärnhov's Lars-Erik Täman made it 4-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Conny Broman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Evert Morat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle went the supporters of Stjärnhov were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant abdi FC side.
