When Erik Godholm came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Svea Eagles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erik Godholm couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Rydsgård FF defense, Mats Klint kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jörn Pilgren. The Rydsgård FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jörn Pilgren should have stopped the shot. In the 15th minute Erik Godholm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jörn Pilgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Svea Eagles booed when Rydsgård FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Östen Hääger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erik Godholm recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Rydsgård FF getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Börje Vester hit a great ball. Östen Hääger kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Mats Klint made a precise shot to the right of Jörn Pilgren. Rydsgård FF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Östen Hääger was the one to do the kick off. When Melker Morat came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Svea Eagles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melker Morat couldn't finish the play. Jerry Fernkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erik Godholm in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jörn Pilgren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mats Klint could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Jörn Pilgren made a huge save. Per-Arne Månsson was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 64th minute. Svea Eagles's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Simon Browald fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rydsgård FF's protests and gave Simon Browald a yellow card for diving instead. After 67 played minutes Rydsgård FF got a freekick which was hit by Simon Browald. Rydsgård FF's Jörn Pilgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Godholm in the 75th minute of play. A collision led to Rydsgård FF getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Harry Mattsson hit a great ball. 83 minutes in the game Roland Beck after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Jörn Pilgren. A very good opportunity. Mats Klint received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Jörn Pilgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Mats Klint took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Jörn Pilgren to make any attempt to save it. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Rydsgård FF's goalkeeper Jörn Pilgren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Östen Hääger's late challenge caught a Svea Eagles's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Östen Hääger helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th match minute, Rydsgård FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Östen Hääger to maneuver through the defense. Svea Eagles's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
