The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 8 minutes into the match, OCC FC's goalkeeper Torbjörn Ekman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joachim Johansson. 9 minutes in the game Christer Svensson did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Dag Öfverman. Thanks to some nice moves Joachim Johansson could shoot a difficult shot in the 11th minute, which Torbjörn Ekman however easily saved by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kaj Pettersson during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a little luck, OCC FC's Torbjörn Ekman got control of the ball when Joachim Johansson tried to sneak it across the goal line. When John Bergström came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the OCC FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that John Bergström couldn't finish the play. When Per-Erik Nyström fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bremers IF's protests and gave Per-Erik Nyström a yellow card for diving instead. 23 minutes into the game, one of Bremers IF:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 26 minutes into the game, Joachim Johansson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Torbjörn Ekman. Joachim Johansson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The throw-in from Dag Öfverman in the 31st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Bremers IF's Per-Erik Nyström. If Joachim Johansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christer Svensson got a throw-in 39 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Dag Öfverman. Kaj Pettersson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Torbjörn Ekman made a huge save. Joachim Johansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniele Rosi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Joachim Johansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valdemar Flink fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torbjörn Ekman having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joachim Johansson in the 62nd minute of play forced OCC FC's goalkeeper Torbjörn Ekman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kaj Pettersson struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Torbjörn Ekman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bremers IF. 73 minutes into the match, Bremers IF's goal looked a bit too open when Daniele Rosi came free, but Ulf Sjöö reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Torbjörn Ekman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaj Pettersson in the 76th minute of play. Kaj Pettersson took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Torbjörn Ekman. Torbjörn Ekman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Joachim Johansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torbjörn Ekman having to interfere. In the 84th minute Joachim Johansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torbjörn Ekman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joachim Johansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torbjörn Ekman having to interfere. 94 minutes into the game, Joachim Johansson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Torbjörn Ekman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. There was no doubt that Bremers IF were the better team. Bremers IF's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
