An unexpected shot in the 19th minute by Börje Löfskog got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 30 minutes into the match, Skelleftehamn IF's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Åke Ljungberg came free, but Sven-Olof Granberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute, Leo Söderberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Börje Löfskog managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skelleftehamn IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Börje Löfskog was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rutger Ambjörnsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Thomas Vennerlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thomas Vennerlund was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 35th minute. Skelleftehamn IF's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 47 minutes into the match, Trensum's goalkeeper Rutger Ambjörnsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Börje Löfskog. After 47 minutes, Leo Söderberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Trensum and the Skelleftehamn IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leo Söderberg hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. In the 51st minute of the match Skelleftehamn IF got a corner. Trensum's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hans Nordgren ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well done corner resulted in Nils Viklund drilling the ball in to score 1-1 behind Trensum's goalkeeper. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Thomas Vennerlund to make the kick off. Karl-Åke Ljungberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Sven-Olof Granberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Börje Löfskog fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Skelleftehamn IF's protests and gave Börje Löfskog a yellow card for diving instead. After 65 minutes of play Trensum's Leo Söderberg was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Skelleftehamn IF booed when Trensum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo Söderberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute Börje Löfskog shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rutger Ambjörnsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonard Ahlroth could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Sven-Olof Granberg made a huge save. In the 83rd minute, Kåre Mickelsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leonard Ahlroth succeeded in the game's 85th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. A hard, long distance shot from Karl-Åke Ljungberg flew over the goal. After 99 minutes, Hans Nordgren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Skelleftehamn IF and the Trensum players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Skelleftehamn IF getting a freekick after 99 minutes play. Hans Nordgren hit a great ball. Trensum played a much better game than Skelleftehamn IF and deserved their victory. The Skelleftehamn IF players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
