Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Gösta Olsson started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Daniel Ek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michel Qvalfeldt having to interfere. After some careless play in the Gästrike-hammarby defense, Johan Njurenius kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arie van Rijswijk. The Gästrike-hammarby fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arie van Rijswijk should have stopped the shot. Gösta Olsson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Michel Qvalfeldt skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Sven Nilsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Michel Qvalfeldt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. After 24 played minutes Emanuels Grabbar got a freekick which was hit by Jonny Benet. After 29 played minutes Gästrike-hammarby got a freekick which was hit by Oskar Waller. Arie van Rijswijk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erland Björnberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After 36 played minutes Gästrike-hammarby got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Ek. Bengt Felin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michel Qvalfeldt having to interfere. After having played for 41 minutes, Gösta Olsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gästrike-hammarby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gösta Olsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arie van Rijswijk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klas Walroth in the 45th minute of play. Daniel Ek charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daniel Ek the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Gästrike-hammarby getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Daniel Ek hit a great ball.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Klas Walroth made a kick off. Oskar Waller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michel Qvalfeldt having to interfere. Gösta Olsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gösta Olsson in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Michel Qvalfeldt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Daniel Ek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gästrike-hammarby's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Ek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michel Qvalfeldt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Gösta Olsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Johan Njurenius fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Emanuels Grabbar's protests and gave Johan Njurenius a yellow card for diving instead. Johan Njurenius kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. 67 minutes in the game Kevin Wahlnäs did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Klas Walroth. In the 69th minute, Gösta Olsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gästrike-hammarby fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. When Gösta Olsson came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Gästrike-hammarby fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gösta Olsson couldn't finish the play. If Gösta Olsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Gästrike-hammarby's Arie van Rijswijk got control of the ball when Erland Björnberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 80th minute, Gösta Olsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Gästrike-hammarby booed when Emanuels Grabbar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Askberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kevin Wahlnäs made in the 84th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Gästrike-hammarby's Daniel Ek. Arie van Rijswijk was out of position in the 86 minute of play, and Klas Walroth capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Klas Walroth really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. After 89 played minutes Emanuels Grabbar got a freekick which was hit by Christopher Lång.
