Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Karl-Åke Ivarsson took the kick off in the first half of the match. After some careless play in the Valdemarsvik defense, Christer Löfgren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kjell Alström. The Valdemarsvik fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kjell Alström should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Johan Lund in the 6th minute of play forced Sjösa IF's goalkeeper Jan-Erik Löfgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th minute, Karl-Åke Ivarsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erik Lang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Jan-Erik Löfgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valdemarsvik's Kjell Alström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Åke Ivarsson in the 12th minute of play. Nils Anselius's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 20thth minute, Jan-Erik Löfgren skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Kjell Alström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christer Löfgren in the 22nd minute of play. Kjell Alström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Åke Ivarsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute, Sjösa IF's Jan Lund seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jan Lund the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sjösa IF protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jan Lund had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Sjösa IF:s Jan-Erik Löfgren showed great skill when he stopped Ola Magnusson:s penalty. Ola Magnusson took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jan-Erik Löfgren. Jan-Erik Löfgren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 43rd minute of the match Ola Magnusson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jan-Erik Löfgren skillfully saved the ball. If Erik Lang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48th match minute, Sjösa IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Wlodyga to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Sjösa IF were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Karl-Johan Lund to strike the kick off in the second half. Jan-Erik Löfgren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karl-Johan Lund's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Stig Esbjörnsson made in the 59th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Conny Kvist immediately put the ball in play. Christer Löfgren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Kjell Alström made a huge save. In the 66th minute Erik Lang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Erik Löfgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Sjösa IF getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Fabian Wlodyga hit a great ball. In the 70th minute of the match Ola Magnusson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jan-Erik Löfgren showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Valdemarsvik's Erik Lang got a free kick in the 71st minute. After 72 played minutes Sjösa IF got a freekick which was hit by Stig Esbjörnsson. Christer Löfgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kjell Alström having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Conny Kvist took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Kjell Alström to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Lang in the 80th minute of play forced Sjösa IF's goalkeeper Jan-Erik Löfgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
