Pål Ekgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Börje Brandin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 13th minute by Adrian Sundén got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a rather tough play, Ormaryd RK's Daniel Heggert got a free kick in the 14th minute. Rydboholm were furious when Gustav Strand was red carded, 17 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 25th minute Albert Wennerström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torgny Gustavsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th match minute, Ormaryd RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Einar Håkansson to maneuver through the defense. In the 31stth minute of the game Andreas Hybbert who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ormaryd RK's Torgny Gustavsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 34th minute, Albert Wennerström fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Torgny Gustavsson, passed just outside the right post. Andreas Hybberts short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Torgny Gustavsson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Torgny Gustavsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andreas Hybbert in the 40th minute. Andreas Hybbert got in the 42nd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Torgny Gustavsson handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Rydboholm's Torgny Linqvist was substituted for Folke Holmgren. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andreas Hybbert to make the kick off. Pål Ekgren was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Börje Brandin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 66 minute of play. Andreas Hybbert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albert Wennerström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Torgny Gustavsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rydboholm's Albert Wennerström got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Rydboholm's Andreas Hybbert in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Pål Ekgren made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Christian Fransson sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Rydboholm getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Andreas Hybbert hit a great ball. Christian Fransson hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Andreas Hybbert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torgny Gustavsson having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Rydboholm lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
