In the 47th match minute, Fagerås was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Hägg to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Razvan Preda made the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes of play, Fagerås's Arne Möllgren made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leonel Goi was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Dick Deckbergh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grimsby Town FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dick Deckbergh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jerry Hellsing breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Orlando Ortiz came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Grimsby Town FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orlando Ortiz couldn't finish the play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 61 minutes into the game, when Tobias Kilman put in a rough tackle. Grimsby Town FC:s Leonel Goi showed great skill when he stopped Herman Ekrot:s penalty. Grimsby Town FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christian Hägg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. 82 minutes into the match, Grimsby Town FC's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Hägg came free, but Leonel Goi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Razvan Preda in the 86th minute of play forced Fagerås's goalkeeper Jerry Hellsing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Razvan Preda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th match minute, Fagerås was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peder Hybbert to maneuver through the defense. Leonel Goi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Peder Hybbert went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score.
