The referee showed Magne Månsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Magne Månsson kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Claes Johansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingvar Lenberg in the 12th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Tun's Ingvar Lenberg got a free kick in the 14th minute. Claes Johansson came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Tun's Ingvar Lenberg. But to his dismay, Ingvar Lenberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingvar Lenberg in the 20th minute of play forced Staffanstorp's goalkeeper Claes Johansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anders Björklund made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Nils-Erik Engström sent off a good shot on target. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Staffanstorp's goalkeeper Claes Johansson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vilhelm Petersson struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Claes Johansson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tun. After a rather tough play, Tun's Magne Månsson got a free kick in the 30th minute. If Vilhelm Petersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Staffanstorp's zone, Ingvar Lenberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claes Johansson came out of the goal and Ingvar Lenberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 45 played minutes Tun got a freekick which was hit by Magne Månsson.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vilhelm Petersson to make the kick off. If Ingmar Bure had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vilhelm Petersson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claes Johansson having to interfere. Ingmar Bure sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anders Björklund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Markus Mellberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. After a rather tough play, Tun's Joseph Rudkvist got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Vilhelm Petersson hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. The supporters of Staffanstorp booed when Tun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andreas Wassenius didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tun's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
