Sivert Runeberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marko Liljeström went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Västerås IK's Sivert Runeberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Västerås IK from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Jack Johnsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Karl-Erik Duset was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Västerås IK's Sivert Runeberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Olof Kiempe in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Marko Liljeström notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Västerås IK's Sivert Runeberg. Sivert Runeberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sivert Runeberg was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Marko Liljeström showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-0 in the 33 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Västerås IK's zone, Marko Liljeström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sivert Runeberg came out of the goal and Marko Liljeström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The nice shot from Marko Liljeström in the 38thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Sivert Runeberg had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Sivert Runeberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marko Liljeström in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-1.

The wind increased when Alketas Georgatos made the kick off in the second half. Karl Kalfhage's late challenge caught a Västerås IK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Karl Kalfhage helped the player get up and apologised. A hard shot 54 in the game by Jack Johnsson from a close distance when the talented Karl-Erik Duset managed to make a qualified save. Ekshärad FK's players were relieved. Jack Johnssons short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Karl-Erik Duset to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Sivert Runeberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marko Liljeström, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alketas Georgatos in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sivert Runeberg saved Västerås IK from getting behind. Sivert Runeberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marko Liljeström went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. 66 minutes into the game, Alketas Georgatos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-1. Sivert Runeberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alketas Georgatos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sivert Runeberg having to interfere. Sivert Runeberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marko Liljeström in the 71st minute of play. With his leg Karl-Erik Duset managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when Västerås IK's Jack Johnsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sivert Runeberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marko Liljeström in the 75th minute of the match. In the 76th minute, Alketas Georgatos made a precise shot to the right of Sivert Runeberg. Västerås IK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-1. Sivert Runeberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Olof Kiempe in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 87th match minute, Ekshärad FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl Kalfhage to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alketas Georgatos in the 91st minute of play forced Västerås IK's goalkeeper Sivert Runeberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 91 played minutes Västerås IK got a freekick which was hit by Julian Zagrobelny. Alketas Georgatos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Sivert Runeberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ekshärad FK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
