The Ekshärad FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karl-Erik Duset should have stopped the shot. Per Bammerman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alketas Georgatos, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ekshärad FK's zone, Karl-Åke Vase stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl-Erik Duset came out of the goal and Karl-Åke Vase tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Åke Vase in the 22nd minute of play forced Ekshärad FK's goalkeeper Karl-Erik Duset to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute, Björn Arvidsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 29 minutes of play, Yxlan's Jonny Sävström made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Karl-Erik Duset was left in no man's land by his defense there! Karl-Erik Duset took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Telin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marko Liljeström in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Per Bammerman, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a little luck, Yxlan's Per Bammerman got control of the ball when Alketas Georgatos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Karl-Åke Vase to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manfred Hedman during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marko Liljeström in the 61st minute of play forced Yxlan's goalkeeper Per Bammerman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leif Hamnberg got his second yellow card in the match during the 62nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Leif Hamnberg kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Ekshärad FK's Bo Lagerberg was substituted for Per-Åke Andberg. Alketas Georgatos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per Bammerman having to interfere. Karl-Erik Duset made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Peter Telin sent off a good shot on target. Peter Telin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ekshärad FK's attentive Alketas Georgatos managed to snatch the ball when Marko Kinnman made a throw-in in the 80th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Yxlan defense, Sven-Olof Kiempe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Per Bammerman. The Yxlan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Per Bammerman should have stopped the shot. Alfons Heggert charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfons Heggert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Yxlan walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
