In the 15th minute Tom Hellström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred Botvidsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Vallhamn BK's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Fågel came free, but Stig-Åke Andersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Peter Fågel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bälinge's supporters rose to their feet, but Peter Fågel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stig-Åke Andersson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 29th minute Peter Fågel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stig-Åke Andersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fred Botvidsson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Stig-Åke Andersson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Fågel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Fred Botvidsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leif Busk, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Fred Botvidsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tom Hellström in the 63rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tom Hellström in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fred Botvidsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 70 minutes into the match, Vallhamn BK's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Fågel came free, but Stig-Åke Andersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Tom Hellström made a precise shot to the right of Fred Botvidsson. Bälinge's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. In the 75thth minute of the game Jörgen Lövkvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bälinge's Fred Botvidsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 77 minutes of play, Vallhamn BK's Leif Busk made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fred Botvidsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! 83 minutes into the match, Bälinge's goal looked a bit too open when Tom Hellström came free, but Fred Botvidsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bälinge's goalkeeper Fred Botvidsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Peter Fågel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Stig-Åke Andersson made a huge save. When Jörgen Lövkvist came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Vallhamn BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jörgen Lövkvist couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Peter Fågel got free with Stig-Åke Andersson in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bälinge's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
