The Steif Football Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oscar Axelsson should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cacá Berger got free with Oscar Axelsson in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. AC Milan's Cacá Berger got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Alf Gernberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 23 played minutes Steif Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Olof Lilja. AC Milan's attentive Svante Uggla managed to snatch the ball when August Finsberg made a throw-in in the 27th minute of the game. Cacá Berger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Steif Football Club's Tony Hamnberg in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a defensive mix-up in AC Milan's zone, Frank Gudmundsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rune Ahlroth came out of the goal and Frank Gudmundsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th minute, Tony Hamnberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rune Ahlroth was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After having played for 57 minutes, August Finsberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Steif Football Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but August Finsberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Hamnberg in the 59th minute of play forced AC Milan's goalkeeper Rune Ahlroth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cacá Berger in the 66th minute of play forced Steif Football Club's goalkeeper Oscar Axelsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tony Hamnberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Rune Ahlroth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tony Hamnberg in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rune Ahlroth, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Dag Bruhn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 82 in the game by Tony Hamnberg from a close distance when the talented Rune Ahlroth managed to make a qualified save. AC Milan's players were relieved. In the 89th minute Tony Hamnberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Ahlroth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Tony Hamnberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With splendid footwork Tony Hamnberg arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-2 by the left pole in the game's 96th minute.
