Börje Martinsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maximilian Bremming's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Maximilian Bremming blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Börje Martinsson having to make a save. Feliks Pilipiec sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Maximilian Bremming came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Holmsjö fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximilian Bremming couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Holmsjö getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Henrik Kristiansson hit a great ball. 24 minutes into the match, G-sunda IF's goalkeeper Börje Martinsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maximilian Bremming. In the last second Börje Martinsson throw himself and got hold of the ball when Maximilian Bremming in the 30thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. An unexpected shot in the 31st minute by Feliks Pilipiec got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Maximilian Bremming managed to get in a good position for a shot. Holmsjö's supporters rose to their feet, but Maximilian Bremming was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Börje Martinsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 41 played minutes G-sunda IF got a freekick which was hit by David Åhlberg. Holmsjö's Rolf Utter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anier Noe in the 44th minute of play. After 45 played minutes G-sunda IF got a freekick which was hit by Nils-Åke Benett. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Maximilian Bremming stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Holmsjö's Feliks Pilipiec got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Philip Sandström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Åke Söderman's late challenge caught a Holmsjö's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Åke Söderman helped the player get up and apologised. Maximilian Bremming fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Börje Martinsson having to interfere. The supporters of G-sunda IF booed when Holmsjö was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Lundström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Holmsjö's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
