Sveg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jörgen Olsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustaf Söderlund in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kalle Löfkvist saved Sveg from getting behind. If Jörgen Olsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jim Grönlund's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 25thth minute, Gösta Gernberg skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jim Grönlund in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gösta Gernberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 28 minutes into the match, Sveg's goal looked a bit too open when Jörgen Olsson came free, but Kalle Löfkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st match minute, Sveg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathias Busk to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute, Gustaf Söderlund ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kalle Löfkvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Sveg's Kalle Löfkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magne Aronsson in the 38th minute of play. Gustaf Söderlund struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Kalle Löfkvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Malmö City FC. After 43 minutes of play, Malmö City FC's Gustaf Söderlund made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kalle Löfkvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet as Jim Grönlund kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gösta Gernberg. That made the score 2-3 in the 47 minute of play. After the first half Malmö City FC were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gustaf Söderlund made a kick off. Jörgen Olsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kalle Löfkvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Kalle Löfkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jörgen Olsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mathias Busk's late challenge caught a Malmö City FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mathias Busk helped the player get up and apologised. Klas Andreasson hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sveg's goalkeeper Kalle Löfkvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 80 minutes into the match, Malmö City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jim Grönlund came free, but Gösta Gernberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jim Grönlund in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gösta Gernberg saved Malmö City FC from getting behind. Jörgen Olsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Kalle Löfkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Sveg's Kalle Löfkvist got control of the ball when Gustaf Söderlund tried to sneak it across the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Sveg's goal looked a bit too open when Magne Aronsson came free, but Kalle Löfkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 90 played minutes Malmö City FC got a freekick which was hit by Klas Andreasson. Martin Ahlbeck hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Sveg's defense didn't have a chance, in the 98th minute, when Martin Ahlbeck scored to the left of an out of position Kalle Löfkvist, making the score, 2-4. The Malmö City FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Malmö City FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
