But to his dismay, Patrik Lundberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Fred Söderqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the game, Fred Söderqvist recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jens-Erik Bocklund. Fred Söderqvist showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. A collision led to Donsö getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Bengt-Åke Lindell hit a great ball. Jesper Mellberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Kielstedt in the 26th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fred Söderqvist during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tracey Acero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Jens-Erik Bocklund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fred Söderqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Söderqvist in the 40th minute of play forced Donsö's goalkeeper Jens-Erik Bocklund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute, Ferdinando Schirone got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Patrik Lundberg was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Davids FC's goalkeeper Jesper Mellberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benjamin Kielstedt. When Tracey Acero came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Davids FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tracey Acero couldn't finish the play. 56 minutes into the match, Davids FC's goalkeeper Jesper Mellberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bengt-Åke Lindell. The supporters of Donsö booed when Davids FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claes Hylander didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Jesper Mellberg managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when Donsö's Benjamin Kielstedt fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Charlie Berg took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Jesper Mellberg to make any attempt to save it. Bengt-Åke Lindell scored 1-3 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jesper Mellberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Davids FC's Georg Bergsten got a free kick in the 78th minute. Davids FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Charlie Berg scored to the left of an out of position Jesper Mellberg, making the score, 1-4. Jesper Mellberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bengt-Åke Lindell in the 84th minute. If Ferdinando Schirone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fred Söderqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Jens-Erik Bocklund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jesper Mellberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Åke Eliasson in the 89th minute. Benjamin Kielstedt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Jesper Mellberg made a huge save. Jens-Erik Bocklund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferdinando Schirone, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The Davids FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Donsö were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
