With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stig-Arne Byström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Håkan Lang's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stig-Arne Byström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Håkan Lang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig-Arne Byström having to interfere. Edvin Söderström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 19 minutes into the game, Överturingen IF's Edvin Söderström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stig-Arne Byström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Fredrik Jakobsson's late challenge caught a Överturingen IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fredrik Jakobsson helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ludvika FK's Fredrik Jakobsson got a free kick in the 27th minute. Jonas Carlsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 41st match minute, Ludvika FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kennet Forssberg to maneuver through the defense. Simon Brummer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jonas Carlsson to make the kick off. Svante Svanér hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Edvin Söderström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Matthias Hegg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simon Brummer in the 74th minute of play. Håkan Lang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stig-Arne Byström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edvin Söderström, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Edvin Söderström kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Stig-Arne Byström. That made the score 0-2 in the 85 minute of play. The supporters of Ludvika FK booed when Överturingen IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viktor Boman didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Stig-Arne Byström managed to avoid a goal in the 96thth minute, when Överturingen IF's Håkan Lang fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
