Kasper Jonasson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sverker Olenberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. In the 12th minute Patrik Månsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uno Kjellqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 12 minutes, Valentin Bock mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Barcelona and the Slottsbron BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 12 played minutes FC Barcelona got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Bock. Thomas Friberger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20th minute Malcolm Forsman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uno Kjellqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Patrik Månsson came free, but Uno Kjellqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sten Wennerberg kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Uno Kjellqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrik Månsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Uno Kjellqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrik Månsson in the 34th minute of play. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Patrik Månsson sped through FC Barcelona's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Uno Kjellqvist. After 38 played minutes Slottsbron BK got a freekick which was hit by Göran Christoffersson. If Patrik Månsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thomas Friberger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uno Kjellqvist having to interfere. The FC Barcelona players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Slottsbron BK were winning 0-1.

Uno Kjellqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patrik Månsson in the 55th minute. After 58 played minutes FC Barcelona got a freekick which was hit by Tanio Hurdinosa. Patrik Månsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Uno Kjellqvist made a huge save. If Thomas Friberger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in FC Barcelona's zone, Oscar Waller stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Uno Kjellqvist came out of the goal and Oscar Waller tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Uno Kjellqvist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 92 played minutes FC Barcelona got a freekick which was hit by Sten Wennerberg. Slottsbron BK's Patrik Månsson shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 93rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Uno Kjellqvist but with some difficulty. Patrik Månsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Uno Kjellqvist made a huge save.
