The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes, Olle Nordkvist made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. In the 6th match minute, Galatasaray was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jens-Åke Hegg to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olle Nordkvist got free with Bengt Collin in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Oskar Johansson kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Genadi Peev managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bruksvallarna BF's supporters rose to their feet, but Genadi Peev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bengt Collin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bengt Collin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olle Nordkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bengt Collin came out of the goal and Olle Nordkvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bengt Collin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olle Nordkvist in the 40th minute of the match. Olle Nordkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Bengt Collin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lars-Erik Holmgren made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Galatasaray's Niclas Hök got a free kick in the 55th minute. After 57 minutes, Olle Nordkvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bruksvallarna BF and the Galatasaray players grew even worse after the yellow card. Olle Nordkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Bengt Collin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olle Nordkvist in the 60th minute of play. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bruksvallarna BF's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
