A collision led to Lagan getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Helge Samuelsson hit a great ball. Josef Skräddare sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Solberg's Emanuel Waller proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Solberg from getting a goal against them. Christoffer Henriksson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emanuel Waller read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Emanuel Waller tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Östen Björk fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Solberg's protests and gave Östen Björk a yellow card for diving instead. In the 56th minute, Sven-Olof Stenquist made a precise shot to the right of Emanuel Waller. Solberg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. The audience was convinced that Bo Siöberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emanuel Waller was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Lagan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Helge Samuelsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 88th minute, Östen Björk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bo Siöberg in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emanuel Waller saved Solberg from getting behind. Stefan Kämpe charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stefan Kämpe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lagan were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Solberg for a fine match.
