After a rather tough play, Tvärred BF's Håkan Sandberg got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Josef Blomqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hammenhög IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Josef Blomqvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Einar Wennersten breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tvärred BF's goalkeeper Einar Wennersten, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Hammenhög IF booed when Tvärred BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joakim Vassenius didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Josef Blomqvist in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Einar Wennersten saved Tvärred BF from getting behind. When Sivert Gunnarsson came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Hammenhög IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sivert Gunnarsson couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josef Blomqvist in the 20th minute of play forced Tvärred BF's goalkeeper Einar Wennersten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joakim Vassenius recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 31st minute Egil Hedlund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Einar Wennersten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Egil Hedlund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Einar Wennersten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karl-Ove Sandström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Einar Wennersten having to interfere. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tvärred BF's goalkeeper Einar Wennersten, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joakim Vassenius stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Josef Blomqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Einar Wennersten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience held their breath when Hans Ekgren in the 55th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Henning Hedkvist's left hand side. In the 60th minute, Josef Blomqvist reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Einar Wennersten. The goal made the score 0-3. After a rather tough play, Hammenhög IF's Josef Blomqvist got a free kick in the 68th minute. Sivert Gunnarsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Josef Blomqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Einar Wennersten having to interfere. If Josef Blomqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute, Egil Hedlund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Josef Blomqvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Einar Wennersten was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. 90 minutes into the match, Tvärred BF's goal looked a bit too open when Sivert Gunnarsson came free, but Einar Wennersten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Einar Wennersten didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hammenhög IF. Hammenhög IF's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
