Tom Hammarbäck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaf Runberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Stig-Åke Hellkvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Patrik Rudkvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Joar Runeberg took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tom Hammarbäck. Tom Hammarbäck dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After having played for 27 minutes, Stig-Åke Hellkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stamford Kings's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stig-Åke Hellkvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karl Beck during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 29 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ramnäs! In the 35th minute Joar Runeberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tom Hammarbäck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustaf Runberg scored 1-3 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tom Hammarbäck, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 44th minute, Joar Runeberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tom Hammarbäck was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

After a defensive mix-up in Stamford Kings's zone, Joar Runeberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tom Hammarbäck came out of the goal and Joar Runeberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Gustaf Runberg fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ramnäs's protests and gave Gustaf Runberg a yellow card for diving instead. Gustaf Runberg kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Joar Runeberg scored 1-5 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tom Hammarbäck, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 67 played minutes Ramnäs got a freekick which was hit by Jens-Åke Askstedt. Pelle Ekeberg hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Joar Runeberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ramnäs's Joar Runeberg came free and shot a quick shot against goal 72 minutes in the game, fortunately Tom Hammarbäck had problems saving as it came toward the left post. After 73 played minutes Stamford Kings got a freekick which was hit by Joachim Modig. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joar Runeberg got free with Tom Hammarbäck in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gustaf Runberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tom Hammarbäck having to interfere. Tom Hammarbäck made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Joar Runeberg sent off a good shot on target. Ramnäs played a much better game than Stamford Kings and deserved their victory. The Stamford Kings players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
