An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Nilsson in the 38th minute of play forced FC Barcelona's goalkeeper Billy Hellkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Magnus Bergström came free, but Billy Hellkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ludomir Matuch made in the 44th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Lars Groth. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Max Stenquist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Max Stenquist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Michael Henriksson having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Jörn Bark hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gösta Kilstedt, 65 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 69 played minutes FC Barcelona got a freekick which was hit by Lars Groth. 72 minutes into the match, Mats Bruse had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Billy Hellkvist. FC Barcelona's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mats Bruse was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Thomas Lindqvist charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thomas Lindqvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 80 played minutes Fittstek FC got a freekick which was hit by Thomas Lindqvist. In the 82nd minute, Karl-Magnus Bergström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Billy Hellkvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Jörn Bark was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 89 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 88th minute of the game. One of FC Barcelona:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Fittstek FC:s goal. 91 minutes into the game, Gösta Kilstedt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Billy Hellkvist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fittstek FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
