Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

If Staffan Björnberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Erik Holmberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mats Lang in the 90th minute of play. After having played for 93 minutes, Mats Lang managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carlslunds Stjärnor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mats Lang was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Mats Lang's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erik Holmberg was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. In the 97th minute, Mats Lang ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erik Holmberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Knislinge BF players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
