When Börje Nyqvist fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Glemmingebro's protests and gave Börje Nyqvist a yellow card for diving instead. In the 14th match minute, Glemmingebro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Börje Nyqvist to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute of the match Carl Zander shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Georg Wennerqvist showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 17 minutes of play, Tranemo's Michel Sundberg made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Georg Wennerqvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! 20 minutes into the match, Glemmingebro's goal looked a bit too open when Michel Sundberg came free, but Georg Wennerqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 21 minutes, Örjan Bengtsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Glemmingebro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Örjan Bengtsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Glemmingebro booed when Tranemo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mattias Harlén didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Glemmingebro's zone, Michel Sundberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Georg Wennerqvist came out of the goal and Michel Sundberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Georg Wennerqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Knut Nilsson in the 32nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Knut Nilsson in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Georg Wennerqvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Glemmingebro's Georg Wennerqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mattias Harlén in the 38th minute of play. Mattias Harlén scored 0-3 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Georg Wennerqvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 42 played minutes Tranemo got a freekick which was hit by Michel Sundberg. Örjan Bengtsson struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Marcus Hägglund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Glemmingebro. Georg Wennerqvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Michel Sundberg's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. In the 48th minute Michel Sundberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georg Wennerqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Örjan Bengtsson to make the kick off. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 51st minute of the game. One of Glemmingebro:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tranemo:s goal. The referee gave Tranemo a penalty, 53 minutes into the game. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Michel Sundberg took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Georg Wennerqvist to make any attempt to save it. Georg Wennerqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Knut Nilsson in the 63rd minute. Örjan Bengtsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Marcus Hägglund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
