With a little luck, Kågeröd's Kjell Ström got control of the ball when Per Dahlberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kågeröd's Kjell Ström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Krister Tunander in the 29th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Simon Ahlkvist reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kjell Ström. The goal made the score 5-0. Kjell Ström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harald Fernström in the 36th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Skagersvik's goal looked a bit too open when Petter Sandberg came free, but Östen Överman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute, Harald Fernström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Valter Albäck charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valter Albäck the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 42 played minutes Skagersvik got a freekick which was hit by Valter Albäck. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jimmy Lind was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Harald Fernström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skagersvik's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harald Fernström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jimmy Lind received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Kjell Ström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kjell Ström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harald Fernström, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Kågeröd's Kjell Ström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harald Fernström in the 60th minute of play. Jimmy Lind fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kjell Ström having to interfere. If Jimmy Lind had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. Kjell Ström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. 73 minutes into the game, Petter Sandberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kågeröd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Skagersvik the free kick. 76 minutes into the match, Harald Fernström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kjell Ström. Kågeröd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Harald Fernström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. If Harald Fernström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Harald Fernström might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kjell Ström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Harald Fernström ran back to his position shaking his head. Kjell Ström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimmy Lind, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Harald Fernström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
