The audience was convinced that Manfred Danielsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thomas Bergqvist was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. With a little luck, New York Rangers's Oscar Biörnberg got control of the ball when Isak Löfgren tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thomas Bergqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manfred Danielsson in the 9th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Bjästa FK's zone, Manfred Danielsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thomas Bergqvist came out of the goal and Manfred Danielsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Per-Erik Forss during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of New York Rangers booed when Bjästa FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per-Erik Forss didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Manfred Danielsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thomas Bergqvist. Bjästa FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manfred Danielsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The supporters of New York Rangers booed when Bjästa FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otto Lidman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Manfred Danielsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The New York Rangers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 28th minute, Otto Lidman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thomas Bergqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manfred Danielsson in the 29th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manfred Danielsson to make the kick off. After some careless play in the New York Rangers defense, Isak Löfgren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oscar Biörnberg. The New York Rangers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oscar Biörnberg should have stopped the shot. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of New York Rangers booed when Bjästa FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otto Lidman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manfred Danielsson in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thomas Bergqvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Manfred Danielsson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Thomas Bergqvist came out and tried to block the shot, but Manfred Danielsson slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 91st minute. A collision led to Bjästa FK getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Otto Lidman hit a great ball. The Bjästa FK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. New York Rangers were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
