In the 15th minute, Vilhelm Bergström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fred Bergman was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. When Dag Hellbom came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Västerljung RK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dag Hellbom couldn't finish the play. Fred Bergman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dag Hellbom, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alf Landin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Västerljung RK's Karl Erserman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alf Landin in the 57th minute of play. When Dag Hellbom came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Västerljung RK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dag Hellbom couldn't finish the play. In the 64th minute, Fredrik Pilblad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Tungur Knivur FC defense, Dag Hellbom kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fred Bergman. The Tungur Knivur FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fred Bergman should have stopped the shot. In the 76th minute, Tungur Knivur FC's Alf Landin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Karl Erserman. A wasted opportunity for Västerljung RK. Fred Bergman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dag Hellbom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
