Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Malte Petersson kicked off to start the match. With a little luck, Kullavik's Ivar Lund got control of the ball when Håkan Fernström tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Kullavik booed when U21 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Håkan Fernström didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute, Albert Kristiansson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sebastian Back received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Ivar Lund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sebastian Back sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 20 minutes of play, U21's Pelle Samuelsson made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ivar Lund was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Sebastian Back put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ivar Lund. Ivar Lund stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sebastian Back's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Sven-Erik Stenqvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ivar Lund read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Ivar Lund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Back in the 40th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, U21's Sebastian Back sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ivar Lund narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Back in the 45th minute of play forced Kullavik's goalkeeper Ivar Lund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when U21's Sebastian Back in the 48th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Ivar Lund was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Kullavik through an amazing save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Sebastian Back made the kick off in the second half. If Malte Petersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. U21's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Malte Petersson 59 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-1. A collision led to Kullavik getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Folke Elg hit a great ball. Ivar Lund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pelle Samuelsson in the 68th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, U21's Pelle Samuelsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ivar Lund narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kullavik's Ivar Lund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Back in the 72nd minute of play. Folke Elg's late challenge caught a U21's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Folke Elg helped the player get up and apologised. Ivar Lund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Back in the 76th minute of the match. Sebastian Back struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Ivar Lund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Sebastian Back sped through Kullavik's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ivar Lund. Ivar Lund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pelle Samuelsson in the 87th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sebastian Back in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivar Lund prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pelle Samuelsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivar Lund having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, Kullavik's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Back came free, but Ivar Lund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kullavik's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
