Spectators: 7130 (Terracing: 5457, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sigvard Ekgren took the kick off in the first half of the match. Petter Ahlbom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 4 minutes into the match, Eket's goal looked a bit too open when Petter Ahlbom came free, but Lars-Erik Granberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sigvard Ekgren in the 7th minute of play forced Rydboholm's goalkeeper Kalle Falkrantz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kalle Falkrantz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Lindgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Eket's goalkeeper Lars-Erik Granberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Billy Vassenius came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Rydboholm fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Billy Vassenius couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Petter Ahlbom sped through Eket's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lars-Erik Granberg. Kalle Falkrantz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sigvard Ekgren in the 18th minute of the match. Lars-Erik Granberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Billy Vassenius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute, Gösta Esbjörnsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Billy Vassenius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lars-Erik Granberg having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Sven-Oskar Sjögren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 37 played minutes Rydboholm got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Oskar Sjögren. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Billy Vassenius in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lars-Erik Granberg saved Eket from getting behind. Lars-Erik Granberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Billy Vassenius, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 42nd minute, Eket's Christer Åberg ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kalle Falkrantz. Kalle Falkrantz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Billy Vassenius blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lars-Erik Granberg having to make a save. After 47 minutes, Per Kilberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rydboholm and the Eket players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 47 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rydboholm! When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Billy Vassenius to strike the kick off in the second half. Lars-Erik Granberg came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Rydboholm's Sven-Olof Bern. But to his dismay, Sven-Olof Bern quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After 64 minutes of play, Rydboholm's Petter Ahlbom made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lars-Erik Granberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eket's Lars-Erik Granberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Eket from getting a goal against them. In the 73rd minute, Petter Ahlbom ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lars-Erik Granberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. Sigvard Ekgren kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the game, Billy Vassenius was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rydboholm's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Eket the free kick. The supporters of Eket booed when Rydboholm was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Billy Vassenius didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 85 played minutes Eket got a freekick which was hit by Johan Wiberg. Petter Ahlbom could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Lars-Erik Granberg made a huge save. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Eket's goalkeeper Lars-Erik Granberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 96 played minutes Eket got a freekick which was hit by Sigvard Ekgren. Rydboholm's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
