Valentin Damm started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Svante Boström during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Måns Pååk made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olof Burman in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Måns Pååk saved Kokoskillarna from getting behind. In the 24th minute, Olof Burman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Måns Pååk was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Måns Pååk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olof Burman, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Kokoskillarna's zone, Olof Burman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Måns Pååk came out of the goal and Olof Burman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th minute, Lennart Rosin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Olof Burman to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Malmö FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olof Burman to maneuver through the defense. If Johannes Wallgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olof Burman took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Måns Pååk. Måns Pååk dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. 64 minutes into the game, Olof Burman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Måns Pååk was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Johannes Wallgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the game, Johannes Wallgren cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-5. Henning Smedfeldt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Although Kokoskillarna had been in control for most of the match, Malmö FF still came away with the win.
