Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Egon Petersson kicked off to start the match. When Sören Törnkvist came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Mattan United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sören Törnkvist couldn't finish the play. In the 4th minute, Torgny Gustafsson made a precise shot to the right of Edwin Hedling. Östra Frölunda's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 7 minutes into the match, Bertil Ahlberg dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Albert Gullesson, 1-1. Ove Palm kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. After 10 minutes of play, Mattan United's Torgny Gustafsson made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edwin Hedling was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edwin Hedling made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torgny Gustafsson in the 14th minute of play. Egon Petersson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Torgny Gustafsson kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Rinus Cardinaal kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Edwin Hedling took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torgny Gustafsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Sören Törnkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the match, Torgny Gustafsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edwin Hedling. Östra Frölunda's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Torgny Gustafsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. After 33 played minutes Mattan United got a freekick which was hit by Rinus Cardinaal. Mattan United's Albert Gullesson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Mattan United from getting a goal against them. 41 minutes into the match, Mattan United's goal looked a bit too open when Reine Hansson came free, but Albert Gullesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bertil Ahlberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Albert Gullesson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bertil Ahlberg hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Torgny Gustafsson made a kick off. With 54 minutes on the clock, Sven-Oskar Lundblad commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 53rd minute, one of Östra Frölunda:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Östra Frölunda. The goalkeeper, Edwin Hedling, was totally fooled by Mattan United's Benigno Pedrosa, who 56 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Torgny Gustafsson charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Torgny Gustafsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 59th match minute, Mattan United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torgny Gustafsson to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rudolf Kvarnström got free with Edwin Hedling in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Albert Gullesson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reine Hansson in the 66th minute of the match. Albert Gullesson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vidar Ivarsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. The throw-in from Vidar Ivarsson in the 83rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Mattan United's Claes Jelm. With a little luck, Östra Frölunda's Edwin Hedling got control of the ball when Torgny Gustafsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leonard Deckberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Albert Gullesson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th match minute, Mattan United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kent Blixt to maneuver through the defense. Torgny Gustafsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Edwin Hedling made a huge save. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Mattan United walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
