The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Hörby getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Tomas Hurtig hit a great ball. In the 9th minute Fredrik Molin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ralf Holmgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hugo Poussin took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ralf Holmgren. Ralf Holmgren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Fredrik Molin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ralf Holmgren having to interfere. In the 17th minute Albano Brun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ralf Holmgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ralf Holmgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugo Poussin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Hörby's Jens Burman got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Edmund Ivarsson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ralf Holmgren. Hörby's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Albano Brun had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ralf Holmgren. Hörby's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Albano Brun was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 30 minutes of play, Stamford Kings's Edmund Ivarsson made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ralf Holmgren was left in no man's land by his defense there! 32 minutes into the game, Tage Åhman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stamford Kings's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hörby the free kick. The supporters of Hörby booed when Stamford Kings was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tage Åhman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute Tobias Rydberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ralf Holmgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute of the match Stamford Kings got a corner. Hörby's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Axel Bergren ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Axel Bergren got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ralf Holmgren quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Albano Brun in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ralf Holmgren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 39th minute, Stamford Kings's Roy Bruhn seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Roy Bruhn the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Stamford Kings protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Roy Bruhn had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 38th minute, one of Stamford Kings:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Stamford Kings. After 44 played minutes Stamford Kings got a freekick which was hit by Axel Bergren. Sven-Oskar Borre made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when David Fogel sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Stamford Kings getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Tobias Rydberg hit a great ball.

51 minutes into the game, Albano Brun cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Ralf Holmgren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Stamford Kings's Albano Brun got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 57 played minutes Hörby got a freekick which was hit by Magnus Jespersson . The long shot by Axel Bergren in the 58th minute really tested Ralf Holmgren's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 59 minutes into the game, Albano Brun recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ralf Holmgren. Albano Brun showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. Ralf Holmgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albano Brun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute, Albano Brun left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stamford Kings fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-6. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Albano Brun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stamford Kings's supporters rose to their feet, but Albano Brun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ralf Holmgren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Hörby getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Magnus Jespersson hit a great ball. Stamford Kings's Axel Bergren shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 71st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ralf Holmgren but with some difficulty. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fredrik Molin got free with Ralf Holmgren in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Stamford Kings booed when Hörby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Martinsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albano Brun in the 79th minute of play forced Hörby's goalkeeper Ralf Holmgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hörby's Ralf Holmgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Hörby from getting a goal against them. Ralf Holmgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albano Brun in the 88th minute of the match. In the 90th minute, Gustav Molander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 96 minutes into the match, Hörby's goalkeeper Ralf Holmgren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albano Brun. Stamford Kings's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
