In the 4th minute, Ulrik Tidéksson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Per Månsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Vilho Sjögren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Karlskoga's Ulrik Tidéksson in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulrik Tidéksson in the 13th minute of play forced Landeryd IF's goalkeeper Per Månsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 16 played minutes Karlskoga got a freekick which was hit by Nicklas Soned. Nicklas Soned sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Per Månsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulrik Tidéksson in the 19th minute of the match. Per Månsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulrik Tidéksson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Landeryd IF defense, Ulrik Tidéksson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Per Månsson. The Landeryd IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Per Månsson should have stopped the shot. After 27 minutes, Nicklas Soned mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Karlskoga and the Landeryd IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 27th minute, Nicklas Soned hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute, Ulrik Tidéksson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Per Månsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Per Månsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulrik Tidéksson in the 36th minute of play. When Carl Lindblom came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Karlskoga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carl Lindblom couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulrik Tidéksson in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Per Månsson saved Landeryd IF from getting behind. In the 41st minute, Vilho Sjögren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 44th minute of the match Ivan Möller shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Per Månsson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After having played for 52 minutes, Sören Grep managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Landeryd IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sören Grep was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 54 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Karlskoga! In the 58th minute, Karl-Axel Albäck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute, Ulrik Tidéksson fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Per Månsson, passed just outside the right post. 61 minutes into the match, Karlskoga's goal looked a bit too open when Anders Månsson came free, but Mats Lundin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Karlskoga's Ivan Möller sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Per Månsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match clock showed 71 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Nicklas Soned sped through Landeryd IF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Per Månsson. The crowd rose to their feet as Ulrik Tidéksson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Per Månsson. That made the score 1-5 in the 75 minute of play. When Carl Lindblom fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Karlskoga's protests and gave Carl Lindblom a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Karlskoga's Carl Lindblom got a free kick in the 78th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vilho Sjögren got free with Per Månsson in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 87th minute Ulrik Tidéksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per Månsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Landeryd IF's goalkeeper Per Månsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ingemar Wallman hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Karlskoga played a much better game than Landeryd IF and deserved their victory. The Landeryd IF players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
