After a defensive mix-up in Önnestad FK's zone, Elói Negri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Torbjörn Öman came out of the goal and Elói Negri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Karl Vinström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edward Stigsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Pihlblad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Önnestad FK's Torbjörn Öman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Önnestad FK from getting a goal against them. Michael Pihlblad struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Edward Stigsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Önnestad FK. Torbjörn Öman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Herman Lindqvist's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Herman Lindqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torbjörn Öman having to interfere. A hard shot 24 in the game by Elói Negri from a close distance when the talented Torbjörn Öman managed to make a qualified save. Önnestad FK's players were relieved. The supporters of Fagersanna booed when Önnestad FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thor Ingvall didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fagersanna's Charlie Hybbert shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 26th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Torbjörn Öman but with some difficulty. Torbjörn Öman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herman Lindqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 31st minute, Charlie Hybbert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Torbjörn Öman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herman Lindqvist in the 39th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Herman Lindqvist took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Torbjörn Öman to make any attempt to save it. Herman Lindqvist's late challenge caught a Önnestad FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Herman Lindqvist helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th minute, Herman Lindqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elói Negri might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Torbjörn Öman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elói Negri ran back to his position shaking his head. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Herman Lindqvist made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Michael Pihlblad reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edward Stigsson. The goal made the score 2-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elói Negri in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Torbjörn Öman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Herman Lindqvist put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Torbjörn Öman. Herman Lindqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torbjörn Öman having to interfere. Michael Pihlblad charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Michael Pihlblad the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th minute, Aaron Brolin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
