Ljusnedal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sven-Olof Martinsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11th minute, Christian Ahlfors got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Robert Mellin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximilian Hellgren in the 13th minute of the match. If Hugo Bäck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. This resulted in a 0-1 score and a disappointed Robert Mellin as he didn't even see the shot coming. After a rather tough play, Ljusnedal's Gustav Eriksson got a free kick in the 54th minute. Christian Ahlfors succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-2 in the 57th playminute. After 63 minutes, Hugo Bäck mouthed his way into the referee's book. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Robert Mellin, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Christian Ahlfors could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Robert Mellin made a huge save. Maximilian Hellgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Robert Mellin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manchester City played a much better game than Ljusnedal and deserved their victory. The Ljusnedal players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
