In the 6th minute, Kim Granberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. David Sillén fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sten Dalberg having to interfere. In the 12th match minute, Styrsö IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andreas Hägert to maneuver through the defense. 15 minutes into the game, Styrsö IK's Jarl Ugla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sören Persson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andreas Hägert in the 18th minute of play forced Ulrikdsdals SK's goalkeeper Sören Persson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Styrsö IK's Sten Dalberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inge Täman in the 20th minute of play. Jens-Erik Kellbom recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Inge Täman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 27 played minutes Styrsö IK got a freekick which was hit by Pelle Ahlqvist. Ingemar Svensson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jens-Erik Kellbom came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Ulrikdsdals SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jens-Erik Kellbom couldn't finish the play. In the 39th minute, Filipe Cardozo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Inge Täman to strike the kick off in the second half. When Filipe Cardozo came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Ulrikdsdals SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filipe Cardozo couldn't finish the play. In the 55th minute, Ingemar Svensson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 58 minutes into the match, Styrsö IK's goal looked a bit too open when Filipe Cardozo came free, but Sten Dalberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Ulrikdsdals SK's goalkeeper Sören Persson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kim Granberg. Sten Dalberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filipe Cardozo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Styrsö IK getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Kim Granberg hit a great ball. Ulrikdsdals SK's David Sillén got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 71st minute, Jens-Erik Kellbom got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Filipe Cardozo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sten Dalberg having to make a save. In the 76th minute Jarl Ugla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sören Persson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sören Persson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kim Granberg in the 79th minute of the match. Filipe Cardozo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Sten Dalberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sten Dalberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eskil Dalberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Styrsö IK's goalkeeper Sten Dalberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
