The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nässjö BF's Agne Olenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristoffer Lekberg in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Torsten Esbjörnsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th minute, Christoffer Odman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Crystal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. A collision led to Nässjö BF getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Arvid Erserman hit a great ball. After 22 played minutes, Sporting Crystal's Carl Glad shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Agne Olenberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sporting Crystal reached it. Agne Olenberg made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Christoffer Odman sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 23rd minute of the game. One of Nässjö BF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sporting Crystal:s goal. The referee gave Sporting Crystal a penalty, 26 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Carl Glad, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Nässjö BF's Agne Olenberg. 2-0. Agne Olenberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristoffer Lekberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Carl Glad's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Agne Olenberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Agne Olenberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristoffer Lekberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After a rather tough play, Nässjö BF's Mårten Wallander got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kristoffer Lekberg to make the kick off. When Freddie Forssberg came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Nässjö BF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Freddie Forssberg couldn't finish the play. Agne Olenberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christoffer Odman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute, Freddie Forssberg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Roger Kristiansson. The goal made the score 3-1. Agne Olenberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Christoffer Odman went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. 95 minutes into the match, Nässjö BF's goal looked a bit too open when Christoffer Odman came free, but Agne Olenberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sporting Crystal's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
