Helsingborgs IF's defense didn't have a chance, in the 7th minute, when Kristoffer Forss scored to the left of an out of position Martin Kellberg, making the score, 1-0. An unexpected shot in the 10th minute by Kristoffer Forss got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Helsingborgs IF's attentive Olle Söderström managed to snatch the ball when Wilhelm Bergvall made a throw-in in the 14th minute of the game. In the 17th match minute, Legion Alpha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timmy Alén to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Dag Billström put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Alfred Wahlström. Sven Ahlstedt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Wahlström having to interfere. Leonard Rosén kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Dag Billström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dag Billström might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfred Wahlström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dag Billström ran back to his position shaking his head. Dag Billström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Alfred Wahlström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th match minute, Helsingborgs IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mark Lennartsson to maneuver through the defense. Linus Berg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfred Wahlström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dag Billström to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Legion Alpha's Alfred Wahlström got control of the ball when Olle Söderström tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kristoffer Forss received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Martin Kellberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivar Aspengren's late challenge caught a Helsingborgs IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ivar Aspengren helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th match minute, Legion Alpha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivar Aspengren to maneuver through the defense. Helsingborgs IF's Martin Kellberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Knut Mikaelsson in the 62nd minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 63rd minute by Dag Billström got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Knut Mikaelsson fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Legion Alpha's protests and gave Knut Mikaelsson a yellow card for diving instead. Sven Ahlstedt's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alfred Wahlström firmly grabbed it by the left post. Linus Berg kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Niklas Nilsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Knut Mikaelsson was shown his second yellow card after 87 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Legion Alpha getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Knut Mikaelsson hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dag Billström in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfred Wahlström saved Legion Alpha from getting behind. When Sven Ahlstedt came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Helsingborgs IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sven Ahlstedt couldn't finish the play. Kent Kinnman made in the 94th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Helsingborgs IF's Mark Lennartsson. Helsingborgs IF played a much better game than Legion Alpha and deserved their victory. The Legion Alpha players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
