After 47 played minutes Hällefors got a freekick which was hit by Leif Dahlqvist. After 48 minutes, Edgar Bergkvist made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Hällefors's Georg Joensson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nils Palmquist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Ivan Magnusson fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hällefors's protests and gave Ivan Magnusson a yellow card for diving instead. If Jens-Ove Biörkman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute Nils Palmquist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arman Ek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nils Palmquist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arman Ek having to interfere. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ljungby BK's goalkeeper Arman Ek, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 70 minutes into the match, Hällefors's goal looked a bit too open when Östen Forsberg came free, but Georg Joensson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Ljungby BK's goal looked a bit too open when Nils Palmquist came free, but Arman Ek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jens-Ove Biörkman scored 2-2 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arman Ek, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
