The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Börje Abrahamsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harry Lundqvist in the 5th minute of the match. Filip Lindgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Augusto Carioca in the 8th minute of play. After some careless play in the Törreby IF defense, Harry Lundqvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Börje Abrahamsson. The Törreby IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Börje Abrahamsson should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claes Åkerman in the 19th minute of play forced Törreby IF's goalkeeper Börje Abrahamsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Leonard Isaksson notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Törreby IF's Börje Abrahamsson. Börje Abrahamsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 24 minutes in the game, Harry Lundqvist fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Börje Abrahamsson having to interfere. Börje Abrahamsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonard Isaksson in the 30th minute. In the 31st match minute, Törreby IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Gerdberg to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Vrigstad BK's Börje Abrahamsson threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Claes Åkerman, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Törreby IF's Börje Abrahamsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kåre Ahlin in the 39th minute of play. 41 minutes into the game, Claes Åkerman recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Börje Abrahamsson. Claes Åkerman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. In the 44th minute, Viktor Tinglöf made a precise shot to the right of Filip Lindgren. Vrigstad BK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Viktor Tinglöf made a kick off. In the 54th minute Verner Fors shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Börje Abrahamsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Börje Abrahamsson came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Vrigstad BK's Harry Lundqvist. But to his dismay, Harry Lundqvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Filip Lindgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viktor Tinglöf, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Pedro Augusto Carioca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Filip Lindgren made a huge save. Eddie Dahlqvist hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonard Isaksson in the 74th minute of play forced Törreby IF's goalkeeper Börje Abrahamsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 76 minutes of play, Vrigstad BK's Harry Lundqvist made it 6-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Börje Abrahamsson was left in no man's land by his defense there!
