After 13 played minutes, Sydkoster's Sverker Lange shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sven-Ove Klint came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sydkoster reached it. 18 minutes into the match, fenrbahce's goal looked a bit too open when Arda Göksel Sözen came free, but Sven-Ove Klint reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arda Göksel Sözen might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sven-Ove Klint. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arda Göksel Sözen ran back to his position shaking his head. 20 minutes into the match, Harald Fernström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sven-Ove Klint. fenrbahce's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Harald Fernström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 28th minute Harald Fernström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Ove Klint saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sydkoster's Arda Göksel Sözen got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Börge Axelsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dag Gustafsson having to interfere. After having played for 34 minutes, Tim Edström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. fenrbahce's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tim Edström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Börge Axelsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 46th minute, Börge Axelsson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dag Gustafsson. The goal made the score 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tim Edström to make the kick off. Arda Göksel Sözen spun around in front of the goal 52 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of fenrbahce's goal. Sven-Ove Klint took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rickard Kiempe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tim Edström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dag Gustafsson having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arda Göksel Sözen in the 88th minute of play forced fenrbahce's goalkeeper Sven-Ove Klint to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Börge Axelsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tim Edström took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dag Gustafsson. Dag Gustafsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Harald Fernström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
