With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bengt-Åke Tinglöv prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 16 minutes into the game, Östen Sävström recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nicklas Vidman. Östen Sävström showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Rickard Sundström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Nicklas Vidman made a huge save. Östen Sävström struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Nicklas Vidman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carlshamns Kanoner. After some careless play in the Vikingstad defense, Rickard Sundström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nicklas Vidman. The Vikingstad fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nicklas Vidman should have stopped the shot. Nicklas Vidman made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Rickard Sundström sent off a good shot on target. Rickard Sundström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Nicklas Vidman made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Carlshamns Kanoner had played much better football throughout.
