When Egon Haglund came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Helsingborgs FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Egon Haglund couldn't finish the play. In the 6th minute Leif Valrot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Sigfridsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Allan Askelöf took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Patrick Billock to make any attempt to save it. With a little luck, Shield FF's Patrick Billock got control of the ball when Kent-Are Furuseth tried to sneak it across the goal line. William Sigfridsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdemar Lund in the 20th minute of play. Helsingborgs FK's William Sigfridsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Rang in the 22nd minute of play. Allan Askelöf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Billock having to interfere. William Sigfridsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leif Valrot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the game, Edwin Nordkvist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Shield FF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Helsingborgs FK the free kick. In the 31st minute, Edwin Nordkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Allan Askelöf who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Patrick Billock when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Allan Askelöf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Patrick Billock made an important save on a dangerous shot by Allan Askelöf in the 43rd minute. Kent-Are Furuseth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 48 minutes into the match, Helsingborgs FK's goal looked a bit too open when Edwin Nordkvist came free, but William Sigfridsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Allan Askelöf to strike the kick off in the second half. If Egon Haglund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 54 minutes, Allan Askelöf managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Helsingborgs FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Allan Askelöf was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kent-Are Furuseth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patrick Billock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Allan Askelöf in the 57th minute of the match. If Allan Askelöf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kent-Are Furuseth struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Patrick Billock didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Helsingborgs FK. Patrick Billock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kent-Are Furuseth in the 64th minute of the match. When Jan-Ove Söderström fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shield FF's protests and gave Jan-Ove Söderström a yellow card for diving instead. In the 68th minute, Jan-Ove Söderström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 70 minutes into the match, Shield FF's goal looked a bit too open when Allan Askelöf came free, but Patrick Billock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Helsingborgs FK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 71st minute, when Edwin Nordkvist scored to the left of an out of position William Sigfridsson, making the score, 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Shield FF's zone, Felix Qvalfeldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patrick Billock came out of the goal and Felix Qvalfeldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Patrick Billock came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Helsingborgs FK's Egon Haglund. But to his dismay, Egon Haglund quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. William Sigfridsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdemar Lund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Helsingborgs FK booed when Shield FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edvard Lidman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Allan Askelöf struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Patrick Billock didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Helsingborgs FK. Helsingborgs FK's William Sigfridsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Helsingborgs FK from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edwin Nordkvist in the 90th minute of play forced Helsingborgs FK's goalkeeper William Sigfridsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Helsingborgs FK's Felix Qvalfeldt got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Helsingborgs FK walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
