A collision led to Blixten getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Hannes Vibjörnsson hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Göran Björnberg in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henrik Nyström saved Blixten from getting behind. Henrik Nyström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Göran Björnberg's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Blixten's goal looked a bit too open when Göran Björnberg came free, but Henrik Nyström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sverker Wahlnäs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Matthias Smitt made a huge save. Sverker Wahlnäs's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 27thth minute, Matthias Smitt skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a little luck, RoughNecks's Matthias Smitt got control of the ball when Sverker Wahlnäs tried to sneak it across the goal line. Henrik Nyström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Göran Björnberg's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Göran Björnberg in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Henrik Nyström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 38 played minutes Blixten got a freekick which was hit by Joakim Berggren. In the 44th minute, Pål Bäckström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Göran Björnberg to strike the kick off in the second half. After 57 played minutes Blixten got a freekick which was hit by Viktor Jönsätt. Sebastian Fridlund hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 72nd minute, Sverker Wahlnäs ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Matthias Smitt was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Pål Bäckström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthias Smitt having to interfere. Göran Björnberg was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 95th minute. RoughNecks's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Despite being the better team, RoughNecks failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
