Wilhelm Österlund came out and tried to block the shot, but Bektaş Eğriöz slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 6th minute. When Arne Odman fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gunnar FC's protests and gave Arne Odman a yellow card for diving instead. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gunnar FC's goalkeeper Wilhelm Österlund, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arne Odman in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jack Hultin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 16 minutes, Joar Biörkman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Green Devils's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joar Biörkman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joar Biörkman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Wilhelm Österlund made a huge save. Bektaş Eğriöz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Wilhelm Österlund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joar Biörkman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilhelm Österlund having to make a save. Elliott Bergstedt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. The supporters of Gunnar FC booed when Green Devils was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Axel Granqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 31 minutes of play, Green Devils's Ludvig Biörkquist made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilhelm Österlund was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Jakob Lindell came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Green Devils fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jakob Lindell couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Gunnar FC's zone, Joar Biörkman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilhelm Österlund came out of the goal and Joar Biörkman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 41 played minutes Green Devils got a freekick which was hit by Ernst Malmström. If Joar Biörkman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute Ernst Malmström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilhelm Österlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Bektaş Eğriöz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Green Devils's supporters rose to their feet, but Bektaş Eğriöz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilhelm Österlund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jack Hultin made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Arne Odman sent off a good shot on target. Green Devils's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
