Kaj Hultstrand kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 28th match minute, Sourcream Onion was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Börje Sjöö to maneuver through the defense. If Bo-Erik Häger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 任广烨 in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vilgot Frisck prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Sourcream Onion's zone, Bo-Erik Häger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vilgot Frisck came out of the goal and Bo-Erik Häger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 45th minute, Johnny Söderberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kristoffer Söderlund made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Johnny Söderberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Creanga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 56 minutes, Markus Johansson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sourcream Onion and the Grytgöl BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Emil Creanga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Markus Johansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Sven-Arne Danielsson fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grytgöl BK's protests and gave Sven-Arne Danielsson a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Grytgöl BK getting a freekick after 83 minutes play.
