After 35 minutes, Östen Dahlquist made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Borlänge IK's Måns Häger tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Måns Häger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Åke Hägg, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 45thth minute of the game Östen Dahlquist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Borlänge IK's Måns Häger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Bo Torsberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Måns Häger having to interfere. After having played for 89 minutes, Östen Dahlquist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Norrahammar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Östen Dahlquist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Norrahammar's Östen Dahlquist got a free kick in the 93rd minute. 95 minutes into the game, Herman Karlsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Borlänge IK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Norrahammar the free kick.
