The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 6 minutes, Marc Löfgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sportklubben's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marc Löfgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Per Wiklund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Kaj Frisk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marc Löfgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Shutters On The Beach's Kaj Frisk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viktor Håning in the 13th minute of play. Kaj Frisk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marc Löfgren in the 15th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Sportklubben's Stig Axelsson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kaj Frisk. That made the score 1-0 after 16 minutes of play. Viktor Håning received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Kaj Frisk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Viktor Håning struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Kaj Frisk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sportklubben. In the 30th minute of the game, Timmy Olsson landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Helmer Widen charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Helmer Widen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Shutters On The Beach booed when Sportklubben was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Helmer Widen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Shutters On The Beach's Egil Boström couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sportklubben. Kaj Frisk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viktor Håning, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marc Löfgren to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marc Löfgren in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kaj Frisk saved Shutters On The Beach from getting behind. Kaj Frisk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marc Löfgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 80 played minutes Shutters On The Beach got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Oskar Hegg. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig Axelsson in the 84th minute of play forced Shutters On The Beach's goalkeeper Kaj Frisk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Viktor Håning recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
