After 54 played minutes Skog got a freekick which was hit by Yngve Lindström. Torsten Vallgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vilgot Backman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th minute, Erik Carlsson made a precise shot to the right of Torsten Vallgren. Skog's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. The audience was convinced that Erik Carlsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Torsten Vallgren was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game.
